Hello, I’m Nava Atlas. I created Literary Ladies Guide in 2012, and it has evolved into a major web archive featuring the lives and works of classic women writers. It continues to grow as we honor writers of the past and rediscover lost or under-recognized voices.

The mission: To preserve and elevate the voices of women writers and to be inspired by those who came before us. Literary Ladies Guide honors the contributions of women to literature (including poetry), literary history, journalism, theater, and film.

Inspiration: I love to share my passion for classic women’s literature with readers and writers. I love to gain new appreciation for authors as well known as the Brontës and Louisa Alcott and to discover forgotten and under-appreciated writers. Black, Latina, and Asian women writers are abundantly represented. I hope you’ll join me for all of it.

Literary Ladies Guide also presents articles on literary travels, the bookish life, and advice for writers, film and stage adaptations of classics, and much more.

About me: I’m a visual artist, graphic designer, vegan cookbook author, and major book nerd. Or maybe just major nerd.
